For information and background, Electrolux Products need to be approved for what is commonly known as Fluid Category 5 Backflow Prevention. with a Type AB Air Gap. To be basic, if a machine floods the design of the Soap Container does not allow the water to come in contact with Potable Water (drinking water) and contaminate the whole system.

Electrolux products are therefore designed to comply with the Water Regulations (see below)

The Water Regulatory Advisory Scheme (WRAS) has always been at the forefront for approving Products throughout most industries.

Electrolux Professional has decided to take an alternative route for having Laundry Products Approved to comply with Regulation 4(1)a of the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999 England & Wales; 2009 Northern Ireland and 2014 Byelaws Scotland.
