The Gold standard pack offers you a full range of blankets and extras that you need to start making a difference to your peri-operative protocol to keep patients warm and safe during anaesthesia.

Hypothermia = Body temperature below 35 degrees occurs in 80% of anaesthetised patients. The gold standard should be to accommodate having blankets for perioperative warming of patient. The kennel door adaptor makes the connection quick and ideal for pre-warming patient and recovery. Pre-medication causes mild hypothermia with dogs and cats, recent research shows warming patients from time of induction can prevent the initial mild drop in body temperature and then slow the rapid critical heat loss following anaesthesia induction. (Ref Colin Dunlop - Hypothermia remains the commonest problem in small animal anaesthesia. Why is it so difficult to solve?)
