

What can & can't you recycle in each box?
We understand that there's a lot of different items that might be able to be recycled at your practice but you don't want your whole box rejected if the wrong item goes in.
Below we're compiling a list of items that we've specifically double checked will be accepted at point of recycling.
So for further clarification about specific items, please email info@vet-direct.com with the item details and preferably an image.
We will respond directly to you once confirmed and add the item to the list below.

Soft Plastics & Pet Food Packaging
Yes to:
- Plastic part of sterile packaging
- Pet food packaging (mixed plastic & foil)
- Non contaminated dry fluid bags (with ports cut off)
- Biscuit packets
- Buster collars
- Paragon scalpel blade packaging
- Paper part of sterile packaging
- Backing plastic from labels
Blister Packs & Medicinal Packaging
Yes to:
- Medicinal blister packs
- Plastic Vials
- Plastic Pill Bottles
- Plastic Syringes (not classified as pharmaceutical waste)
- Needle Caps
- Packaging from suture material & blood slides
- Pharmaceutical waste
